So in this current example it would be: Dagger Crit hit, so instead of 1d4 it's now 2d4 + 7, not including any other modifiers you have. Along with the PHB critical hit rules of "Roll all of the attack's damage dice twice and add them together". Vicious (and Vorpal) aren't crit triggered, they are natural 20 triggered. The way it's worded on vicious on the SRD version is similar to vorpal, so it would likely be doubled.

this should be on any critical instead of just nat 20s, that way the weapon isn't only cool 1/20 hits. Shouldn't really matter since 7 is the average result of 2d6.Dice that are rolled only on a critical hit are not doubled.

Would DDB not have taken their text for the full DMG from official WotC sources? Updated Dynamic Lighting now does as much and even more than our legacy system! It's probably been altered since the DMG came out.
