Tien Shinhan pointed his index finger and shouted. Before the match begins, Pamput attempts to intimidate Goku by throwing a punch which intentionally misses by a very small amount. He is stopped by Goku though, who says there will be no need for such extreme measures, he then evades the demon's onslaught and ends up defeating him with a surprise attack.

After Vegeta sees Bulma get hit by Beerus and goes fully enraged, Tien Shinhan is amazed by Vegeta's power increase. However, Xiaya knew that if Blonde-haired Launch held the advantage in strength, she wouldn’t sit back and wait for her opponent to take the initiative, instead, she would have directly attacked. Finding that Man-Wolf (a werewolf who turns into a man by the full moon) has a grudge against Jackie Chun, he also fixes them to fight. All finalists meet in order to determine, by drawing lots, who will be fighting who in the quarter-finals; it does not take long for insults to be traded between both Yamcha and Tien and Krillin and Chiaotzu. That Dodon Ray just now had exhausted all his strength, and he could only look on helplessly as Blonde-haired Launch’s fist smashed down.
