The Gilded Cage of the title refers to the situation that many trophy wives find themselves in. This book is quite different and though the writing is up to expected standards, I really didn’t like the story or the characters (except one maybe). It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. This was my first time reading Camilla Lackberg. In fact, it is a short story padded out with sex, much of it pointless and sordid, with a very predictable ending. Faye Adelheim had a very traumatic childhood.
