The golem’s creator, if within 60 feet of the berserk golem, can try to calm it by speaking firmly and persuasively. Use a multiplier of 0.5 for a single monster. If you want a pair of monsters, each one will count for 1.5 times its base XP value. You would have a point, except being a mock battle they got to see what a dragon will do to them unprepared and in disadvantageous terrain.
Keen Hearing and Smell. These creatures are unaligned, which means they don’t have an alignment. Beak. Standing Leap. Some monster’s alignment entry indicates a tendency or aversion toward law, chaos, good, or evil. It comes with premade characters, a set of dice, and a beginner-friendly module.
Petrifying Gaze. The paper and pencil are to keep track of initiative and other combat numbers. Recharge after a Short or Long Rest. 2 a warning shot that messes up a couple npc's. You probably could have had a brave but doomed NPC traveling with the players who was the one to be picked up and dropped from an unsurvivable height. The rules, the setting, the action, and ultimately the fun all radiate from you. The hippogriff makes two attacks: one with its beak and one with its claws.
